Almost all the cis-element motifs so far compiled in PLACEdb were those found in vascular plants. We now start collecting motifs found in Chlamydomonas as well. The statement "It covers vascular plants only" found in "What is PLACE?" page need to be modified. Two new motifs found in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii were added. Information obtained from literature published in 2005 and before were added to the records previously registered to the PLACEdb. ===PLACE 25.0.1, 449 entries, Feb.11, 2006=== Part of DE lines apeared before SQ line. S000333 was removed because the motif sequence and ID were identical to those of S000313. We did not include these because of our previous policy to exclude motifs without experimental evidence.
